Assistant economics professor Analisa Packham recently had some of her research picked up by various media outlets.
Shoplifting in Chicago
Dr. Packham and her research partner Jillian Carr of Purdue University found that since Chicago enacted legislation to spread out when food stamps were issued in 2010, theft in grocery stores was reduced by more than 30 percent.

Planned Parenthood funding
In another paper that was written while she was at Texas A&M University, Dr. Packham found that the number of teen abortions in Texas increased by 3 percent after Planned Parenthood funding was slashed in 2011.
